Dee Jurius is excited to advocate at the state level for the needs of the community in education, mental health, and civic engagement. Dee Jurius' passion for the Lakes Region, love for the outdoors, and small-town American heart was nurtured since birth by her parents, Stephen and Risa Jurius, who run a small landscaping business in the region.
In 2010, Dee graduated from Inter-Lakes where she attended all 13 years of primary and secondary school and played in the concert band and jazz band. After receiving a Masters of Education in Professional School Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies in 2016 from Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster, PA, Dee moved back to Meredith to serve as a child and family therapist for a community mental health center. Seeing the lack of administrative and governmental support for those struggling with mental health concerns drove Dee’s passion for the people of the Lakes Region and inspired her to pursue a seat in the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
Today, Dee is employed at Laconia Christian Academy as a school counselor and teaches children and teens at The First Baptist Church of Meredith. In her spare time, she has enjoyed singing in the Pemigewasset Choir and playing the trombone in the Gilford Community Band. Vote for Dee in the primary elections on September 11, 2018.
